It has been a pleasure to work with the staff at SummersGate throughout the building process, moving, and getting settled in. They have responded each and every time I have had any questions, concerns, knock-out list items, etc. During the big snow storms of January and February I was so happy that for the first time in 40 years I didn't have to pick up a snow shovel!

As the community continues to grow, I look forward to meeting new folks, expanding our social outlets and making new friends. Nancy has done a great job hosting the "First Friday" every month; it’s been such fun to get together with everyone. The newsletters she issues are first rate and speak to her professionalism in the marketing of the community.

We first encountered the SummersGate project in its “dream stage” while participating in a health fair held at Mallard Landing. A long time later, we signed up for a plot and visited Coldstream Crossing, a sister development in PA. We were so impressed with their results, we changed our plot listing so we could be included in phase one of the SummersGate project. We were one of the first SummersGate residents.

The builders accommodated all of our desired changes with open minds and very pleasant responses. This experience was our first with building a house from scratch and it was a very pleasant one. We moved into our new home in March, 2009. In May the front lawn was added, and it was really beginning to look more like “home.” It was so nice not to have to mow the lawn!

Since the beginning of this summer, we've enjoyed "First Friday" get-to-gethers for SummersGate residents and interested parties. It is a wonderful way to meet our new neighbors and get to know them.

We love living here and have been enjoying our house immensely. We are close to connections to the highways and everything in the city. We could walk to Salisbury University to attend plays, lectures, concerts, and can even walk to our bank, which is close by.

We still have pictures to hang, but everything else is done. Now we can sit back and enjoy life in our new home.
